Dr. John R. Varoscak, D.D.S earned his
dental degree at Fairleigh Dickinson
University in 1969. The year of his
graduation he was honored with the
Annual Student Award by the American
Academy of Periodontology. He went
on to study Periodontics at the
postgraduate level at Columbia University
College of Dental Medicine where he
received his certificate of training in
Periodontics in 1971.
Dr. Varoscak is a former faculty member
of Virginia Commonwealth University
School of Dentistry, Columbia University
College of Dental Medicine, and Harvard
School of Dental Medicine. He was
Section Chief of Periodontics in the
Department of Dentistry at Beth Israel
Medical Center in New York City. |

Dr. Varoscak has taught periodontology and pain management techniques to countless
students and dentists, and has lectured and participated in numerous
continuing education courses in the United States, Latin American, and Europe. He
is currently the Education Director of the New York County Dental
Society, and is the co-founder and President of the New York Metropolitan
Dental Study Club since 1974. Dr. Varoscak has a sub-specialty in the diagnosis
and treatment of orofacial pain and has published numerous articles on this
subject. He is also licensed to perform enteral sedation which is a great benefit
to patients who may be fearful of undergoing surgical procedures.
Dr. Varoscak has maintained membership in many prestigious dental
organizations and has been honored with fellowships in many professional
societies. These include the New York County Dental Society, New York State
Dental Society, American Dental Association, American Academy of
Periodontology, New York Metropolitan Dental Study Club (President),
American Pain Society, International Association for the Study of Pain, Omicron
Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society, American College of Dentists
(Fellow), New York Academy of Dentists (Fellow), the International College
of Dentists (Fellow), and The American Academy for Oral Systemic Health (Founding Member). Dr. Varoscak was also elected Fellow of the
Pierre Fauchard Academy, an International Honorary Dental Organization. |

Dr. Varoscak is currently the Director of Periodontics at a multispecialty dental
practice in Ridgewood, New Jersey. He is also the
Director of the Oral Systemic Evaluation Center of
Ridgewood, New Jersey. After practicing periodontal
surgery for nearly 40 years, Dr. Varoscak's extensive
knowledge and experience make him uniquely
qualified to handle virtually all of your periodontal
needs. |
